Osmanthus Oolong – A gentle, floral Chinese tea

Osmanthus Oolong is a refined semi-oxidised oolong tea (also known as semi-fermented), combined with the sweet, floral scent of osmanthus flowers, in Chinese Gui Hua. In this loose tea, the gentle flavour of oolong meets the subtle aroma of osmanthus blossom.

Ingredients: oolong tea, osmanthus flowers

Flavour: gentle, floral, fresh, lightly sweet

Origin: China

Preparation

  • Water temperature: 85-90°C
  • Brewing time: 3 to 4 minutes
  • Dosage: 1 measuring spoon per cup, or 12 to 15 grams per litre

As iced tea: brew the tea a bit stronger, let it cool and serve with ice.

Why drink Osmanthus Oolong?

  • Gentle, refined oolong with a floral character
  • Delicate aroma of osmanthus blossom
  • An elegant tea with a fresh, lightly sweet flavour
  • Lovely to enjoy slowly, both hot and as iced tea
  • A lovely choice for lovers of special, loose tea

Store in an airtight tea tin in a dry, dark place.

Caffeine: contains caffeine, like all tea from Camellia sinensis.

Did you know? All true tea comes from the plant Camellia sinensis, whether it is green, black, white, yellow, oolong or pu-erh. The difference lies in how the leaves are processed after harvesting: oxidation, fermentation and drying give each tea its own flavour.
